Lessons from the Science of Learning: Encouraging Mindful Learning

This meeting is one in a series of workshops in which we present recent findings from the Science of Learning. To become self-directed learners, students must learn to monitor and adjust what they do to learn. Faculty members can help students develop metacognitive abilities and reinforce them through instruction. We will examine a summary of this research and discuss ways to implement the findings in your classes.
