Uploading the Presentation to Webcourses and Pegasus
This section will highlight how upload an online-ready file to the Internet for student view. The Webcourses upload section would highlight how to show your presentation through your Webcourses course. Webcourses course material does clear per semester including such presentations, so the Pegasus upload tutorial is provided to upload to your Pegasus webpage for permanent online storage. You may also use these instructions as a guide to upload to other mediums, such as your personal webpage.
Webcourses
- Locate your Desktop Flash folder from your presentation folder. You will need to zip up this whole folder (in Windows, right click the folder and select Compressed File). Rename if desired after the folder is compressed.
- Log in to Webcourses and select the course desired. Then, select the Build tab and click the File Manager.
- At the top, click Get Files. On the next popup, select the bottom icon for My Computer and navigate to the zipped file, then click OK to upload it.
- After it's uploaded, in the file manager pulldown the arrow next to the zip file and select Extract. You may again choose a customized name if desired.
- Click the Build tab to return to the main page, or otherwise navigate to the page that will hold the link to the video. Click on Add File and then Browse for Files. You should default to "Class Files" and in here should be the unzipped folder you just created. Click into that folder (there may be two levels of folders) until you see the index.html file. Put a check mark next to index.html and click OK at the bottom. A new link will appear on your Webcourses page. It might be automatically named "Authorpoint's flash presentation." If so, pull down the arrow next to it so that you can rename it (Edit Properties, then change the Title). Verify in the Student tab that the link works as it should.
