Export the Presentation to Flash

After recording, the AuthorPoint presentation may need to be turned into an online-ready Flash format. AuthorPoint supports various exporting formats, but we recommend using the Flash format. The format is considered a web standard and Flash files can be viewed in Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems, compatible with most browsers. The goal of this article is to guide you through the exporting process.

  1. Open the Content Manager. You may have already opened the Content Manager if you pressed the “Open CM” button after your presentation was finished. You can also find later, your Content Manager can also be accessed on your Desktop by clicking on the Content Manager icon.

    The Content Manager gives a list of presentations and options for editing and exporting. Your presentation should be listed here. If it’s not, press the Refresh button refresh button near the upper left corner.
  2. Click on the name of your presentation, and click on the menu above: Build ->Build Options.

  3. Select the output format of the presentation. Choose the export format as flash. If you wish to change options on the recording, click on Edit Presentation Details button. Clicking on this will give a screen that gives you various options. You can add appropriate presentation titles, edit speaker notes, add descriptions, add the presenter’s name, picture and email, change the color scheme of the output, and many more options. When you’re finished editing, click on Ok to return to the previous Building a Presentation window.

  4. Click on Start the Build. This will process the video, PowerPoint, and synchronization and create a Flash output. Please give the process a few minutes until you see a pop-up menu with the message “Flash presentation files saved.”.

  5. Double click on the presentation name with the type Flash to preview the output in the Content Manager Window. Your preferred browser will pop up and open your presentation in Flash.
